Tenders to be enclosed in a sealed plain envelope and marked with contract number and shall be lodged in the Tender Box at the Ground Floor at Corangamite Shire Offices, 181 Manifold Street, Camperdown or posted to PO Box 84, Camperdown, 3260 or electronically to tenders@corangamite.vic.gov.au.
Specification
Works are to include the following, in reference to a report by Heritage Building Services Pty Ltd and report by Woodhouse Graesser Johnston Pty Ltd.
1. Repair cracks to four clock internal arches e.g. install Helifix bars across cracks and repoint (item 6d - Heritage Building Services Report).
2. Clean and fill internal cracks above clock faces at level 4 and above doors on south, east and north walls on level 5 (Item 5 - Woodhouse Graesser Johnston Report)
3. Replace corroding steel lintels and fill crack at west door on level 5 (Item 5 - Woodhouse Graesser Johnston Report).
4. Install cathodic protection system to existing internal brick skin steel perimeter band immediately below level 2 and level 4 (Item 5 - Woodhouse Graesser Johnston Report).
5. Clock faces (CCT12) - Corrosion to iron/steel faces and frame particularly at lowest point of perimeter faces. Repair rust and paint to original.
6. Clean and treat clock render surrounds with an appropriate remedial solution.
7. Exterior generally (CCT08) - Various cracking to rendered coping. Rake out and repair cracks to Portland cement mortar to exactly match adjacent render and prevent moisture entering the brickwork.
8. Roof cladding CCT19 - Remove and replace the roof cladding to exactly match the original and ensure adequate fixing of cladding to structure whilst still allowing for thermal movement. It may be possible to retain the original smaller conical roofs. Damp internal render is evident to North West alcove following rain, resolve water ingress. Refer to photo 325, 340 & 343.
9. Roof - Timber Sheathing under cladding CCT18 - Nominally 150mm tongue & grooved softwood boards suffering fungal attack remove and replace severely damaged boards with new.
10. Remove and dispose of any existing materials.
11. Apply and obtain all necessary permits required to undertake the works. A Public Protection Precautions Permit will be required (refer to attached).
