Corangamite Shire Council invites tenders from competent, qualified and experienced contractors for the design and construction of a replacement bridge and realigned approaches on Bones Access Road Bridge over Gellibrand River, Chapple Vale.
Bones Access Road Bridge
The existing bridge is a 3 span timber deck bridge over steel girders that crosses Gellibrand River. The total span of the existing bridge is 27m. The bridge is reaching the end of its useful life and is required to be replaced with a new bridge on a new alignment.
The existing bridge and approaches on Bones Access Road will be required to remain open to traffic whilst works are being undertaken.
Works will include but will not be limited to:
* Design and construction of new bridge and realigned approaches.
* Engineering certification of design
* Barrier rail installation
* Bulk earthworks for approaches
* Pavement construction of approaches
* Bituminous sealing of approaches
* Installation of signage and linemarking
* Demolition and removal of existing bridge structure
* Traffic management
* Environmental management
* Occupational Health & Safety documentation and implementation
* Provision of construction and “as constructed“ drawings
The contract shall be executed under AS 4300-1995, General Conditions of Contract for Design and Construct.
