Eastern Watermain Replacements 2017/2018

⁠⁠⁠The Scope of Works is as follows for each site (inclusive of Thomson St - Terang, Cobham St - Terang, Castle Carey Rd - Camperdown, Couch St - Timboon, McLeod St & Snake Track Rd - Timboon):

The Contractor shall provide everything necessary including but not limited to, all labour, materials and plant necessary to complete the following Scope of Work:
* Liaison with property owners and occupiers adjacent to the works;
* All necessary surveys, including confirming the identification of size, type and location of existing water property services (including fire services) and any water meters for properties which are currently supplied via the main which is to be replaced;
* Obtaining all required approvals prior to the commencement of works, including, but not limited to:

Municipality approvals;
Vic Roads approvals;
Country Fire Authority approvals;
Service utility approvals.
* Supply and delivery of all required materials, equipment and plant to complete the works;
* Installation of all required bedding, pipes, fittings, backfill, fireplugs, valves, scour valves, air valves, marker tape, reinstatement etc.
* Testing, connection and disinfection of the installed mains to existing reticulation;
* Reconnection of all existing services (including fire services) to the new (replacement) main. It should be noted that not all water service connections are detailed on the drawings and it is the responsibility of the Contractor to identify and locate all property water/fire services and allow for the cost of the reconnection of these service to the new (replacement) main within the schedule of prices;
* Preparation of, compliance with and implementation of Traffic Management Plans which comply with AS1742.3 2009 Traffic Control for Works on Roads, Worksite Traffic Management Code of Practice 2010 and any Vic Roads and/or Council requirements;
* Prompt and full reinstatement of all disturbed surfaces;
* Clean-up, including removal and legal disposal of rubbish, excess material etc.

* Removal & disposal of AC waste generated during the watermain replacement works in accordance with Environment Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Regulations 2009, and Worksafe Victoria's 'Safe Handling of Industrial Waste' Guidelines. Note that the Leura St alignment is Lift and Relay requiring complete removal of the existing AC watermain, and that the other mains have small sections of AC to be removed at and around connection locations).

* Certification from the relevant Road Authority (VicRoads and/or municipality) approving reinstatement within road reserves.

Tenders in sealed envelopes clearly marked "Contract 814 - Eastern Watermain Replacements 2017/18" should be lodged in the Tender Box at Wannon Water's Office, 25 Gateway Road, Warrnambool, VIC 3280, prior to 3.00 pm on Wednesday 14 October 2015.

Alternatively, tenders may be lodged by the due date by electronic upload into the designated online tender box.
