Airservices is engaging the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) community to partner with an experienced, dynamic vendor, capable of working with our organisation as we transform our ICT service delivery from an internally managed environment to an externally provisioned, commodity based and agile managed service capable of providing right sized ICT services throughout the contract term.
As a Strategic Partner to Airservices, the successful Service Provider will modernise our Core Compute and End User Compute environments, delivering a commercially viable solution that will meet Airservices current computing needs now and into the future. This requires a Service Provider capable of partnering with Airservices and adopting a proactive approach to performance management and innovation ensuring that Airservices is positioned to provide modern and innovative services to our customers.
The Airservices IaaS RFP encompasses the procurement of the following managed IT services:
a) Core Compute Services; and
b) End User Compute (EUC) Services; and
c) Associated Transition & Transformation, Cross Functional, Governance & Reporting Services required for successful delivery of Core Compute Services and End User Compute Services.
The requirements for these Services are specified in Part 2 of this RFP.
The following service and commercial outcomes are expected to be achieved through this procurement:
a) Relocate and manage (including support and maintenance) - End User Compute functions and Core Compute functions from Airservices (including AWB and CDC Hume premises) with Service Provider supplying associated data centre facilities, support services (including resources) and infrastructure;
b) Managed Service - contracted commodity IT services for End User Compute and Core Compute provided to Airservices on a flexible performance basis, covering all Airservices locations, including remote sites;
c) A reduction in whole of life costs;
d) An emphasis on service management, relationship governance, contract management and Service Provider performance; and
e) An active partner willing to proactively collaborate with Airservices and share risk.
