TfNSW Infrastructure & Services (I&S) Programs: Rail Infrastructure, Newcastle Transport Program and Precincts and Infrastructure requires a Reliability Officer - Signals to ensure works under construction do not impede on the normal safe running and operations of the existing railway, and do not raise the existing risk profile of the transport network.
There are a number of projects currently being delivered by I&S, which have the potential to impact on the reliability of transport networks. Reliability Officers undertake consultative reliability inspections in accordance with the Rail Services Contract. The Reliability Officers also assist with investigations into incidents as SME’s and provide knowledge sharing in the form of Technical Bulletins and Guidance Notes.
The Reliability Officer Signals are required to advise on the implementation of the signalling, for the safe running of the transport network and review and monitor the implementation by the Project Managers, particularly during the construction and commissioning phases of a project.
