The Department of Education and Training (the Department) is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, students, visitors and contractors at its workplaces. The health, safety and wellbeing of the Department's employees is crucial in delivering the Department's core goal of improved educational outcomes.
The Department is committed to ensuring school leaders have access to a broad range of advice and support including with regard to their own health and well-being.
To support this the Department is planning to make health checks available to all school principals, including assistant principals across the Victorian government school sector. The service must be delivered and led by qualified medical professionals.
The Department is seeking responses for the provision of health checks for school principals for a three year period with a possible option to extend the contract two further years in one year increments.
