Pedestrian/Cycle, Bridge Consultancy Services Edgars Creek in Vicinity of Ronald St, Coburg North

⁠⁠⁠Contract 642T - Consultancy Services to Undertake the Feasibility and Design of a Pedestrian & Cycle Bridge Across Edgars Creek in the Vicinity of Ronald Street, Coburg North Including Path Network Improvements.

Council is to engage the services of a suitably qualified bridge consultant to undertake a feasibility study to provide options and associated costs in the replacement of the damaged pedestrian/cycle bridge crossing Edgars Creek in the vicinity of Ronald Street, Coburg North. Option two of the feasibility study is to assess and recommend including costings for an alternate formalised travel path along the west side of Edgards Creek to the existing bridge infrastructure at Coburg Hill.

Council will assess and make a decision whether to proceed to the design phase and the preferred option. During the design phase the Consultant will undertake the preparation of a technical specification, construction documentation, detailed costings and a bill of quantities for the proposed works including all approvals from Melbourne Water and Statutory Authorities.

Once approval is given for the construction phase of the project, the Consultant is to provide construction management services which will include attending fortnightly site meetings with the Council representative and the construction contractor, ensure all structural and civil elements are correctly constructed as per construction drawings and address request for information from the construction contractor and Council.

Service levels are to be provided by the Contractor in accordance with 'Best Value" aimed at achieving an environmentally responsible, safe and cost effective outcome for Council.
