Tender Description
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) requires suitably qualified training organisations to provide healthcare-tailored aggression prevention and management training to select healthcare staff within WACHS. This training will assist staff to work safely in healthcare sites across country Western Australia, assist WACHS to meet its legal obligations under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 and respond to findings from the Ashdown Coronial Inquiry.
Robust aggression prevention and management training that focuses on recognition and prevention of aggression, de-escalation techniques, best practice restraint techniques and improved coping mechanisms following aggressive incidents is required.
The training must be able to be delivered across the entire WACHS region, at a number of sites, on an annual basis.
WACHS reserves the right to appoint one or numerous contractors to form a Panel Arrangement to service the all required sites. Individual contracts will be distributed amongst appointed Panel Members at the Customer’s discretion. It should be noted that metropolitan health sites are under no obligation to source training providers from this contract.
WACHS reserves the right to add or remove sites to meet their operational requirements.
The current requirement is no indication of any future requirements and State Supply Commission procurement policies will apply to future tendering processes.
