Monash University's IT Systems underpin the University's day to day operations. Outages to key services can significantly impact business operations. To ensure business continuity eSolutions (The University's I.T. Department) require pro-active and automated notification and alerting of current or potential issues to IT systems. This enables issues to be resolved or mitigated in a timely manner that minimises business impact.
eSolutions is looking to procure, via a public RFP, an automated alerting and notification solution as a service.
Monash eSolutions currently uses several IT system management products and has an IT Health and event information gathering (logging) solution. These systems often generate information indicating an IT Incident, and its important the right people (support, key stakeholders) are notified of these to mitigate or resolve an issue. eSolutions is looking for a suitable solution that integrates with our key IT tools and generates alerts and notifications to appropriate personal in the most appropriate format (eg: email, SMS, Smartphone notifications etc.)
