Zoos Victoria is calling for tenders from reputable commercial builders to build a new Plains Wanderer bird breeding facility (aviary) at Werribee Open Range Zoo. The specifications are set out in the tender documents attached to this tender notice. The closing date and time is 5pm 19th December 2016.
Werribee Open Range Zoo (WORZ) recently developed and has commenced implementation of a five year operational master plan that aims to deliver the objectives of the Zoos Victoria corporate plan. A key objective within the master plan is the development of a compassion and conservation precinct which will house a number of endangered species breeding programs. The first of these facilities is a Plains Wanderer Breeding Facility which has been designed as a multipurpose facility that can house alternate species as required.
Zoos Victoria seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor for the Fabrication and construction of the Plains Wanderer Breeding Facility as outlined in this RFT.
