The Department of Economic Development Jobs Transport and Resources is seeking a suitably skilled and experienced service provider to deliver a program to engage Koorie students in primary industries science careers.
The program is designed to:
I. Encourage years 7 to 9 Koorie students to continue science studies through high school to university
II. Raise awareness with students, schools, parents and Elders about primary industries sciences and career pathways and the potential benefits they may provide to Koorie communities, particularly those that own land.
A working with children check and a current driver’s licence are mandatory requirements. In addition the successful provider will be highly motivated and organised; possess excellent communication skills and have a strong record of working successfully with Aboriginal communities.
The program has been designed to be delivered over three years. The successful provider will be required to enter into a three year contract with the department.
