Tender Description
The City of Greater Geelong is seeking tenders from experienced contractors to undertake the demolition, construction and finishing works associated with the redevelopment of the toddler pool at the Splashdown Aquatic Centre, Moolap.
Tenderers should note that these works will be done in conjunction with Tender T1700017 - Design and Construct Aquatic Play Equipment at the Splashdown Aquatic Centre. The successful tenderer will be required to work in full cooperation with the contractor responsible for the installation of the Aquatic Play Equipment as both contractors will share the site.
During the construction all other pools and the gymnasium portion of the facility will continue to operate.
Mandatory Requirements
1. Please be advised that Council will conduct a mandatory site inspection at 11.00am on the 18 October 2016 at the Splashdown Aquatic Centre, Moolap (meet at entrance).
Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender.
Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process. There is NO requirement to notify Council of your attendance, details of companies will be taken on the day.
2. Tenderers must have recent demonstrated experience in undertaking similar works in Commercial pool environments (e.g. Council Aquatic Centres) to be considered for these works.
It is expected the successful tenderer will commence works in January 2017.
