Northern Beaches Council Tender RFT 2016/101 - Birdwood Park Landscape and Civil Works, North Narrabeen.

As part of the North Narrabeen Beach Masterplan, Northern Beaches Council is undertaking to upgrade the car park and foreshore area adjacent to the bridge over Narrabeen lagoon in Birdwood Park. This area acts as a main gateway entry into Warringah and is highly visible from Ocean Street, the main beach roadway. The area is currently in poor condition and does not meet the expected level of service to the community.

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors to carry out the following outline scope of works:
* Construction of a new 26 space concrete car park to be built predominantly over the existing asphalt car park and to include a new asphalt driveway entry from Ocean Street.
* Construction of concrete seating platforms and steps providing safe access onto the beach.
* Address drainage and runoff issues, ensuring runoff from car park does not have a detrimental impact on the lagoon.
* Construction of a rock armour sea wall and foreshore edge treatment to address the current bank erosion.
* Construction of a new turf area, minor landscape works and planted garden bed.
* The supply and installation of various amenities such as beach shower, bubbler, park furniture and 2 custom shade structures.

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Tender document is provided.

The expected commencement of works is Monday 06th February 2017 and the expected completion of works is Friday 28th April 2017.
