Tender Description
This is a request for tender, to those qualified, to join The University of Sydney's Technical Reference Panel. The Technical Reference Panel aims to provide the Planning, Engineering & Sustainability Team (PEST), who sit within the Universities infrastructure department, the ability to engage specialist design & engineering consultants, who in turn can advise on projects where no existing panel has the experience. The Technical Reference Panel can also be engaged to supplement projects when a PEST member is on annual leave.
Below are the Technical services anticipated to be required by the University:
(a) Building Services;
(i) Fire Services - engineers who design wet and dry fire systems and can review and provide advice in relation to fire engineered performance solutions and NCC reports,
(ii) Hydraulics Services - engineers who design natural gas, hot and cold water supply, sanitary plumbing, sewer drainage, roof drainage, storm water drainage and rainwater harvesting systems,
(iii) Electrical Services - engineers who design low voltage reticulation, lighting and earthing systems,
(iv) Renewable Energy - specialist engineers who design and inspect DC electrical systems including photovoltaic and battery storage,
(v) Mechanical - engineers who design air conditioning, heating and refrigeration,
(vi) AUMS/BMCS controls - Controls engineers with expertise on energy monitoring and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems,
(b) Laboratory process and hazardous assessments - specialised engineers who provide advice on laboratory services and substances,
(c) Survey, Civil and Geographic Information System (GIS) - engineers and surveyors providing specialised advice on systems, programs, topographic and in-ground surveys, civil works, flood studies, storm water management, integrated water management,
(d) Integrated Management services and systems - Develop protocols, registers and operating procedures, controls procurement support to meet regulatory compliance, environmental auditing and management systems,
(e) Strategic systems development,
(f) Communications and Engagements,
(g) Asset and facilities management,
(h) Acoustic Consultant,
(i) DDA Consultant,
(j) Dangerous Goods Consultant,
(k) BCA Consultant,
(l) Traffic Engineering.
