Tender Description
The NSW RFS’s objectives for its new headquarters include:
1. Fit for purpose accommodation that ensures NSW RFS maintains capacity to deal with major rural fire events, other emergency disasters and conduct its day-to-day operations;
2. Incorporate the State Bushfire Coordination Committee, allowing for 24-hour operation and access during major fire events; and
3. Provide a compliant, safe and productive workplace.
The overall leasing objective of GPNSW’s is to secure appropriate office accommodation for the lease term, while ensuring a value for money outcome through appropriate commercial arrangements. The specific leasing objectives of GPNSW are:
1. Have NSW RFS’s headquarters and fitout completed and available for occupation and use pursuant to the agreed timetable;
2. Secure efficient, flexible and sustainable facilities that will meet the operational requirements of NSW RFS in relation to location, functionality and timeframe;
3. To lease a resilient and innovative working environment that supports the operations of the NSW RFS;
4. Protect the interests of GPNSW through an appropriate commercial arrangement;
5. Deliver a project that achieves NSW Government standards for environmentally sustainable development; and
6. Achieve the above objectives in a manner that provides value for money to the NSW Government.
