Tender Description
Tenders are sought for the project management of the ELSA pilot programme, which is one of a suite of initiatives under the National Science and Innovation Agenda to inspire STEM literacy.
Building on the success of the Early Leaning Languages Australia (ELLA) trial, the ELSA pilot programme is designed to specifically inspire curiosity and engagement in STEM concepts in preschool children.
The pilot programme will be for a three-year term from 2016-17 to 2018-19. Delivery of the pilot programme is planned for 100 preschool services in 2018.
This pilot includes the development of four highly engaging early learning apps for tablet devices that aims to provide holistic STEM-focused play-based experiences for children as part of their STEM learning programme in preschool services as well as an educator app and a families app.
In addition, comprehensive educator resource materials will be developed and training provided to ensure educators are adequately supported and engaged as they deliver the programme.
