Stormwater Investigation and Design Services

⁠⁠⁠The City of Kingston is seeking tenders from consultancy companies with suitable stormwater drainage experience.

The Principal intends to appoint consultants on an hourly rate basis to provide services under each of the following categories:

Part A - Stormwater Quality and Harvesting Systems
The scope of services includes MUSIC modeling, feasibility assessments, preliminary investigations, preparation of concepts or detail design drawings for a range of Water Sensitive Urban Design projects to achieve stormwater water quality improvements and stormwater reuse systems.

Part B - Stormwater Pumping Systems
The scope of services includes stormwater modelling, feasibility assessments, preliminary investigations, and preparation of concepts or detail design drawings for drainage projects involving stormwater pumping systems typically ranging from 100 to 900 litres per second.

Part C - Flood Modeling & Mapping
The scope of services includes undertaking flood mapping for Planning Scheme overlays, modelling to assess the performance of existing and proposed drainage improvements for a range of storm events and the preparation of associated reports and maps.

Part D - Main Drain Approvals
The scope of services includes liaising with Melbourne Water and other authorities to obtain approval for major flood mitigation or water quality improvement projects. The scope may include undertaking feasibility assessments, preliminary investigations, and preparation of concepts or detail design drawings associated with connections to main drains or works within drainage reserves.

The initial Contract Term shall be for three years with an option for Council to extend the contract for a further two years.

As a guide, the value of consultancy fees within each category is likely to range from approximately $10,000 to $70,000 per annum.
