Molecular Imaging & Therapy at Austin Health is inviting responses from vendors for the supply of a state-of-the-art SPECT/CT Gamma Camera (hereinafter identified as Camera). The system is to be installed at Austin Hospital and will complement its existing SPECT/CT device. Medium-term plans for the Department include major redevelopment to provide a contemporary facility, designed for the needs of an increasingly acute population. Consolidation of its service to a single site, Austin Hospital, is also proposed.
The Camera will be a dual head SPECT/CT system capable of high resolution, high sensitivity and high throughput of the full range of Nuclear Medicine studies. The CT unit will be diagnostic quality, multi-slice with automatic exposure control, fully integrated with the SPECT system to provide co-registered SPECT and CT images and attenuation correction for all SPECT acquisitions.
