Tender Description
The Request for Information process is an information gathering exercise to assist the Commonwealth to develop procurement options for future outsourcing of property management services for Defence’s leased and licensed real property portfolio.
Estate and Infrastructure Group within the Department of Defence manages and supports the Defence estate comprising land, buildings and infrastructure across all states and territories of Australia. The Defence estate is large and complex, and supports the working, training and living environments for more than 80,000 Defence personnel.
Some of the Defence estate is leased or licensed. There are currently some 350 expenditure leases and 630 revenue licences across Australia. The management of Defence’s leased and licensed real property portfolio is outsourced to industry, and the current property management services contract will expire in late 2016.
