Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠A Head Contractor that is either a licensed Electrical Contractor, that engages the services of a Licensed Plumbing Contractor, or conversely, a Licensed Plumbing Contractor that engages the services of a Licensed Electrical Contractor to carry out the works required.

Briefly, the works comprises the replacement of the existing electrical, communications, hydraulic and fire services in-ground reticulation.

The Department of Finance invites Expressions of Interest to tender for The proposed upgrade of the site services infrastructure at the existing Sunset Heritage Precinct site, Birdwood Parade, Dalkeith. 

This project is the first stage of the transform the Sunset Heritage Precinct over time into a unique State Government-owned asset for arts, cultural and community use, which has a high level of heritage conservation, public amenity and engagement with the river.

The Site is owned by the Department of Finance and the facility is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).

The upgrade the site infrastructure services will facilitate the development and use of the Sunset Heritage Precinct site over the next 5 to 10 years. Primarily these services include the electrical, hydraulic and fire services in-ground reticulation.

Briefly, the works comprises the replacement of the existing electrical, communications, hydraulic and fire services in-ground reticulation, based on documentation to be prepared by Jacobs Group (Australia) Pty Ltd including, however not limited to:

  • Western Power substation
  • Site Main Switchboard
  • Underground sub mains cabling throughout the entire site
  • Ground Mounted Distribution Boards throughout the site
  • Underground sub mains cabling from Distribution Boards to existing buildings as required
  • Re-wiring of selected existing buildings as required.
  • New external lighting as required
  • Underground telecommunications cabling throughout the entire site
  • Potable water ring main throughout the site
  • Fire water ring main throughout the site, including Fire Pumps, Tanks and Booster
  • Fire Hydrants as required
  • Sewer main throughout the site
  • Water and Sewer connections to buildings as required
  • Electrical and Plumbing works to new ablution blocks, minor buildings/facilities as required
  • Being able to maintain access and services during significant upgrade works
