The Customer is seeking a pharmaceutical industry expert (being an entity that can demonstrate that they possess the staff, industry knowledge and experience to deliver the required services) who is knowledgeable about the constraints and obstacles hindering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from accessing and successfully supplying into the pharmaceutical sector.
The ultimate goal is to engage with key buyers from across the pharmaceutical industry and understand what they look for in a potential supplier. The task is not just about the initial engagement and surveying of buyers, but having their endorsement and ownership of the tool’s development.
To complete the project the industry expert must have established global networks, or be able to access key senior personnel within large buying entities, in the pharmaceutical sector. The engagement of associations may be important in accessing these buying entities, but it is critical the individual entities are engaged.
The desired output of the procurement will be a set of industry approved and tested questions, context, indicators and associated weightings which enable the benchmarking of SME capability and their ability to supply into the sector.
