Crystal Methamphetamines - Enhancing Service Responses in Rural and Regional NSW Through the Non Government Sector
Tender ID: 242832
Tender Details
Tender Description
In March 2015, the NSW Government announced a four year package of enhanced service delivery, policing, education and community effort to combat the impact of crystal methamphetamine on individuals and the community.
A key component of the package is an enhancement of $4M over the next four years to strengthen the community based service response to crystal methamphetamines by expanding current service capacity and having new services delivered by the non government sector.
This package is aimed at strengthening service responses and capacity in rural and regional New South Wales by:
* Treating individuals in local communities rather than distant rehabilitation centres away from their local supports;
* Having flexible design components that can respond to local priorities and needs;
* Having reach outside the main population hubs.
As part of this, it is intended to build a more seamless and integrated pathway of care between hospital and community so that individuals can receive the treatment and support they need in the most appropriate and therapeutic setting for their needs.
An open Request for Tender for the provision of these services inviting responses from community based organisations will commence shortly.
