Request for Tender: Fishway Project Frosts Crossing and McQuades

⁠⁠⁠The North East Catchment Management Authority is calling for tenders to engage consultants to develop design, construction specifications and complete construction of two vehicle crossings within the Warby-Ovens National Park near Peechelba. The two structures to be built are located at Frosts Crossing Track and McQuades Bend. Each structure must provide for viable fish passage.

This tender relates to the establishment of a consultant or consultants for the delivery of design specifications incorporating fish passage, site layout and all elements of construction. This tender will be awarded under a single contract that includes both structures. A suitable, integrated fish way design and Parks Victoria maintenance requirements will be required to be incorporated into each design.

The details of the design and construction specifications are required to be provided in writing and confirmed through site inspections. Contractors must have adequate systems, supervision and capabilities to deliver the completed design specifications and construction elements of the project.

Tenders close at 4.00pm on Monday 12th October 2015 and must be submitted electronically to contracts@necma.vic.gov.au, no hardcopies will be accepted. Attendance at a pre-tender site meeting at 10am on the 24th of September in order to discuss the project requirements is compulsory. The site meeting will be conducted at Frosts Crossing Track. To access the site turn right off the Wangaratta – Yarrawonga Road, approximately 3.8kms north of the Boweya Rd/Wangaratta – Yarrawonga Rd intersection (see map below). The construction site is located approximately 250m after turning off the Wangaratta-Yarrawonga Rd. The site will be signposted.
