Kirwans Bridge Renewal

⁠⁠⁠Council is inviting tenders for the supply of all of the necessary materials and construction work to complete the repairs and rehabilitation of the sub-structure of Kirwans Bridge, which is located on Longwood-Kirwans Bridge Road at Nagambie.

This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government's Bridges Renewal Programme and Strathbogie Shire Council.

The bridge is a significant structure of historical significance and has a heritage classification.

The existing steel and timber bridge is a total length of 312m comprising 55 spans.

The main objective of this contract is the structural rehabilitation of the bridge piles using proven innovative proprietary splicing and strengthening systems.

Preference shall be given to Contractors with experience in using pile splicing, strengthening and repair systems.
