Building Works Landy Field Equipment Shed

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites Contractors to submit a tender with two Options, for the proposed replacement, supply and erection of a new Equipment Building at John Landy Athletics Field, Barwon Terrace Swanston Street, South Geelong.

In order to submit a conforming tender Contractors are required to submit complete tender prices and details for both Option 1 and Option 2. These options MUST be costed for the Tender to be deemed Compliant.

The City of Greater Geelong reserves the right to select either Option one (01) or Option two (02), at its sole discretion.

Option 01 : Building as documented with precast walls to South West and structural steel frame
Building Foot Print : 48m x 6.65m centre to centre structure
Building Fabric : Rear wall; precast concrete panel,
Front wall; metal clad
Side walls; metal clad
Option 02 : As per Option 1 but full metal shed (no precast walls)
Foot Print : 48m x 6.65m meter centre to centre steel framed and clad
Fabric : Rear wall; metal clad and framed,
Front wall; metal clad
Side walls; metal clad

Requirements for Option 2:
01) The Contractor shall include and identify costs to have a suitably qualified engineer design and certify the proposed full metal shed to match the Architectural Drawings. Contractor shall supply a Certificate of Compliance Design, Regulation 1507 for the building proposed.

02) Allow to produce detailed drawings to confirm that the intent of the Architectural Drawings will be met. Fabrication shall not proceed until approval is provided in writing by the Superintendent. Refer to the Specification document for full requirements and details.

Mandatory Criteria:
1) The tenderer must hold a current Commercial Building Registration and associated Licence to carry out the works. Please submit evidence of the above when lodging your tender submission.
2) Mandatory Site Inspection

Mandatory Site Inspection:
Please be advised that Council will conduct a mandatory site inspection at 2.00pm, Monday 15 June 2015. (Swanston Street & Barwon Terrace South Geelong) Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender.

Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process.

Tenderers are required to notify Council of their attendance by phoning Adrian Rainbow on (03) 5272-4636 beforehand

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.

Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
