Tender Description
On 19th February 2015 the Andrews Labor Government pre-announced "Safer Country Crossings Program". The release noted "works on three level crossing upgrades: at Springhurst near Wangaratta, Gnotuk near Camperdown and Pirron Yallock near Colac. Work will commence this year".
The purpose of the project is to provide the preliminary designs for 27 boom barrier upgrades and 5 pedestrian crossings upgrades. The following works will be completed as part of this preliminary design:
* Feature survey
* Site Investigation
* Services search
* Detailed civil design (Issued for Construction)
* Preliminary signalling design
* Stakeholder Risk Workshop - civil and signalling designs
* Preliminary Design Report
VicTrack is seeking to appoint two providers to carry out the each specific scope of works. However, depending on submissions and the ability to complete the works, both scopes may be appointed to a sole provider.
