Council is seeking a suitable contractor to construct a new public open space in 33 Saxon Street, Brunswick. Located next to the Brunswick Baths the site consists of a heritage house, a stables building and a 1970s school building. While currently unoccupied, Council is working to locate suitable community groups in the building spaces in the future. A community food garden is currently operating on the site as shown in the attached plan. The site will be developed into a \'Community Hub\' over the next few years.
Public open space is a key component of realisation of Council\'s vision for the site. The proposed open space is located in the centre of the site as shown on the attached plans. The food garden is operating within the area where works are required to be undertaken.
