Provision of Safe and Secure at Home (SASH) Home Modification Services

⁠⁠⁠Overview

HealthShare NSW is seeking to establish a pre-qualified supplier panel to deliver Safe and Secure at Home (SASH) Home Modification Services across NSW, including bathroom and access modifications, temporary solutions and Careport services.

Objectives

• Establish a pre-qualified supplier panel of home modification providers across NSW
• Ensure safe, compliant and timely delivery of home modification services
• Support timely hospital discharge and improve patient safety and independence at home
• Provide statewide coverage, including metropolitan, regional and remote areas
• Standardise service delivery, reporting and performance management
• Deliver value for money through transparent and accurate quoting
• Ensure suppliers meet all regulatory, licensing, safety and compliance requirements

Scope

Suppliers may provide one or more of the following services:

• Bathroom modifications, including minor works such as grab rails and shower modifications, and major works such as bathroom refits and level access showers
• Access modifications, including minor works such as grab rails and wedge ramps, and major works such as ramps, door widening and platform lifts
• Temporary modifications, including the installation, maintenance and removal of temporary bathroom facilities (Careports) and temporary access solutions
• Associated services including site assessments, quoting, project coordination, installation, defect rectification and warranty support

Services may be required across metropolitan, regional and remote NSW. Suppliers may nominate the geographical areas they can service and may engage suitably qualified subcontractors where required.

Contractor Requirements

• All works must be delivered in accordance with occupational therapist prescriptions
• Suppliers must comply with applicable legislation, standards, licensing, insurance and workplace health and safety requirements
• Suppliers must provide safe, compliant and timely service delivery to support patient safety, independence and hospital discharge outcomes
