Overview
Narrabri Shire Council is seeking quotations from contractors for inclusion on its Casual Tradesperson Hire List for the 2026-27 financial year. Contractors are invited to submit rate cards for consideration for the upcoming annual term.
About
The Works Under Contract (WUC) covers the supply of routine maintenance trades. Council employs a workforce to construct and maintain assets including plant and equipment, vehicles, drainage, water, sewerage, parks, reserves, buildings, roads and bridges. From time to time, Council requires the services of licensed tradespersons to undertake work on Council premises on a casual hourly basis. Some works arise from emergency call-outs, while other activities are planned and scheduled in advance.
To assist authorised Council employees in engaging appropriately licensed (where required), insured, competent and safety-compliant tradespersons, Council maintains a Casual Tradesperson Hire List of Contractors whose quotations have been successfully assessed.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Provision of casual tradesperson services on an hourly basis for Council premises
- Attendance at emergency call-outs as required
- Undertaking planned and scheduled works as arranged with Council
Contractor Requirements
- Appropriately licensed where required for the trade being offered
- Appropriately insured
- Competent and safety-compliant

- Completed Casual Trades Returnable Schedules 2026-27
- Completed RATE CARD Casual Tradesperson 26/27, including hourly rates for the financial year
- All supporting documentation requested in the qualification
Instructions to Tenderers
To complete a submission, contractors should:
- Register on VendorPanel through the self invite link: https://www.vendorpanel.com.au/vsi.axd?g=edef87c4031c4afe905cc7ce975b7e15s8079
- Download the Casual Trades Returnable Schedules 2026-27 from VendorPanel, complete it, and upload it into the qualification
- Complete the RATE CARD Casual Tradesperson 26/27, including hourly rates for the financial year
- Upload the completed schedule and all requested supporting documentation via VendorPanel
The Casual Tradespersons Quotation Specification and associated documentation are available in VendorPanel. All quotations must be submitted through Council's electronic procurement platform, VendorPanel.
Canvassing of Councillors or Council staff in relation to this quotation will result in disqualification.
