⁠⁠⁠Cyber Services is seeking to engage a Senior Software Developer within the One Identity (OneID) BAU team. Recruitment efforts to date have been unsuccessful, with no suitable candidates identified in the previous round. To address this, the role has now been opened to additional recruitment agencies and expanded to a nationwide search to improve the likelihood of securing a candidate with the required specialised skillset.

This role is critical to supporting Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations for the One Identity platform, ensuring ongoing stability, performance, and service continuity. The resource will focus on maintaining and enhancing the existing OneID environment, including resolving complex issues, supporting daily operations, and delivering incremental improvements aligned with business needs.

The role will also support activities that overlap between BAU and project delivery, including assisting with implementation work, stabilisation of enhancements, and transition of new capabilities into BAU support.

Due to delays in securing a suitable candidate, there is an increasing risk to operational performance, service delivery, and timely completion of critical IAM uplift activities, and a PCR is being prepared to revise delivery timelines accordingly.

The Senior Software Developer role requires specialised skills and experience in identity and access management (IAM) and One Identity Manager to support BAU priorities, including:

  • RBAC optimisation and maintenance – refinement and ongoing management of access models
  • Privileged access and administrative controls – supporting secure access practices aligned to Essential Eight requirements
  • Active Directory and Entra ID integration and support – maintaining and improving identity governance controls
  • Platform enhancements and customisation – delivering incremental improvements to workflows, automation, and user experience
  • Operational support and issue resolution – addressing complex incidents, provisioning issues, and system performance

Overview One ID BAU Support/Maintenance Role

The role is primarily responsible for maintaining the stability and operational effectiveness of the One Identity Manager platform through strong Business-as-Usual (BAU) support. In addition, the role will contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of the solution by implementing incremental capabilities and process optimisations.

The position will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and support teams to validate requirements and deliver enhancements, including design, configuration, build, and testing. The role will also support the controlled deployment of changes in collaboration with technical and business change management functions.

A key aspect of the role is managing activities that overlap between BAU and project delivery, including supporting project implementations, transitioning solutions into BAU, and ensuring operational readiness of new capabilities.
