Walshs Road Sealing

⁠⁠⁠Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and suitably qualified contractor to undertake final pavement sealing and line marking works.

Walshs Road, Goughs Bay is a rural access road that is currently unsealed and due to heavy traffic, the road experiences ongoing issues including dust generation, surface deterioration, erosion and poor drainage, particularly during wet weather.

The project area extends along the currently unsealed section of Walshs Road from 177 Walshs Road to 329 Walshs Road, covering a length of approximately 1,825 metres.

The proposed drainage and road improvement works, including roadside drainage redefinition, new culvert installation, stormwater protection measures, pavement reconstruction, road widening, earthworks, vegetation management, and associated reinstatement activities, will be undertaken by the Council Field Services Team.

Upon completion, the upgraded pavement will be prepared to a suitable standard and condition to support future pavement sealing, ensuring improved durability, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced safety for road users.
