This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather information about commercial off the shelf for the Cloud-based Desktop as a Services (DaaS) and Architecture solutions available in the marketplace.
Services Australia (the Agency) currently operates a range of virtual desktop systems to enable its business processes and ways of working, including the Agency’s shared services partners, the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).
These virtual desktop systems are hosted on multiple different technology platforms, which consequently increases operational and support overheads, creating user experience fragmentation and introduces risks associated with inconsistent security controls and standards compliance across the virtual desktop systems.
This RFI is intended to enable the Agency to consider and adopt a more consistent, contemporary, secure, streamlined and therefore cost-effective approach to in delivering business functionalities that virtual desktop services enable.
