Old Tolmie & Mahaikah Rd Intersection Upgrade

Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and qualified contractor to install proposed road safety improvements and road works at Old Tolmie Mahaikah Intersection.

The project aims to improve this intersection by adding an island and defining the intersection. Improving line marking and signage at the approaches such as Chevron Alignment Markers (CAMs), give way signs, and line marked traffic island to warn the drivers of the intersection. Narrow lane widths are proposed on Tolmie-Mahaikah Rd which will reduce approach speeds. Improving sight lines and shoulder sealing on Old Tolmie Rd to avoid gravel on road and improve safety for motorcyclists at the sharp curve.
