Tender Details
Tender Description
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Mid term review of BA21001, BA21003, BA21004 (BA25002).
The objectives of the services being sought are to review all 3 projects in tandem, to find alignments, efficiencies, impacts, and any relevant gaps.
BA21001 is intended to provide the diagnostic backbone for the banana biosecurity system, while developing and validating tools, protocols, and reference material that underpin all downstream surveillance and management decisions.
BA21003 (now BA24003) is intended to translate diagnostic capability into on‑ground intelligence, generate real‑world data on pest and disease presence, distribution, and pressure, and act as the operational bridge between laboratory diagnostics and field‑level response.
BA21004 is intended to develop practical, integrated pest and disease management responses based on risks identified through diagnostics and surveillance, and focus on sustainable, systems‑based control options rather than single‑tool solutions.
The successful applicant will conduct a mid-term evaluation of the programs against the key evaluation questions (KEQs) relevant to the projects, analyse the success of the programs to date, and make recommendations regarding their ongoing delivery.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
