Overview
The Arts Projects grant category provides support for projects that create and showcase the arts of the NT, provide employment opportunities for NT artists and supports emerging artists to grow their artistic practice and creative capacity.
Funding availableAvailable to individuals, groups and organisations
- ARTS DEVELOPMENT - Up to $30,000 for the research, development or creation of new work
- PRESENTATION & PROMOTION - Up to $30,000 for the presentation, exhibition, distribution, or promotion of NT arts practice.
- SKILLS DEVELOPMENT - Up to $30,000 for the development of skills, knowledge, and experience for NT artists and arts workers, for themselves or others
- EMERGING ARTISTS - Up to $15,000 for early career artists to develop or showcase new work

- Assessed by a panel of peers
- Notification from 14 May 2026
- Activity must start from 1 July 2026
- Case study reports due 3 months after completion of the approved activity
Before you apply
- Read the Arts Grants Program Guidelines to understand the objectives and requirements
- Speak with an Arts Development Officer to confirm your eligibility and that your activity suits the grant category
- Make sure you have no outstanding acquittals or compliance issues with the NT Government
- Clearly define your activity, including what it is, who is involved, and how and when it will be delivered
- Prepare a realistic, balanced budget that shows value for money and includes quotes for any expenses over $1,000
- Gather your support material, including CVs or bios, examples of work, and confirmation of involvement from collaborators
- Obtain any required permissions, including Working with Children clearances and Aboriginal cultural permissions if relevant
- If using an Administering Body, ensure they endorse your application before you submit it
- Submit your application by the deadline, as late applications won’t be accepted
