RFT - East West Powerline Easement Shared Use Path – Construction

The Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the construction of East West Powerline Shared User path between Manfred Street, Watsonia and The Grange, Yallambie.

The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:

• Site Establishment, Preliminaries and Traffic Management including service location.

• Apply and obtain Permit from AusNet & APA to work on the transmission line easement.

• Strictly follow the permit conditions and AusNet & APA guidelines to work under, over and around the transmission line.

• Demolition and removal of existing concrete footpath, bitumen footpath, kerb and channels, Bollards, drainage pipes and associated structures.

• Construct 3.00m wide 150mm thick reinforced concrete 32Mpa Shared User Path on 50mm min compacted depth 20mm Nom Size Class 3 Crushed Rock as shown on drawings.

• Construct 2.00m & 1.5m wide 150mm thick reinforced concrete 32Mpa footpath on 50mm min compacted depth 20mm Nom Size Class 3 Crushed Rock as shown on drawings.

• Construct raised pavement priority crossing as specified on the drawings.

• Construct new stormwater drainage and junction pits as specified on the drawings.

• Modify existing drainage pits as specified on the drawings.

• Supply and install seats as specified.

• Supply and Install Bollards as specified on the drawings.

• Install signage and line marking including symbols, white thermoplastic rumble strips as specified on the drawings

• As Built and handover documentation.

• Clean site and remove any rubbish to the satisfaction of the superintendent.

In addition to the above, Contractors are to visit the site and make their own investigation and assessment of site conditions.
