This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The National Autism Strategy 2025–31 is Australia’s first national framework to improve the quality of life for all Autistic people.
This grant supports Action 1.1 of the First Action Plan 2025-26 to develop and deliver initial national awareness and inclusion activities for those who work within the justice system, to ensure Autistic young people, their families, and carers who engage with the justice system are supported with a neuro-affirming approach.
The grant opportunity will fund the development and delivery of activities and resources that promote understanding and build the capability of those who work within the justice system (including police, courts, prisons, and legal professionals) to provide appropriate responses to Autistic young people they may come in contact with.
Activities and resources may include, but not be limited to:
• reference guides
• case studies
• video modules
• e-learning modules, and
• an understanding autism toolkit.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, you must be one of the listed organisations and have received an invitation to apply from the department.

The list of eligible organisations was determined because of their experience delivering autism awareness initiatives and their commitment to fostering inclusive environments for Autistic people.
Each organisation has experience and/or specialist expertise and knowledge within the Autistic and autism community and brings unique strengths—ranging from evidence-based research and policy advocacy to lived experience-led education and large-scale public awareness campaigns—that support social inclusion actions. Their established track records in co-designing resources with Autistic people, engaging diverse audiences, and promoting awareness and understanding through media, training, and community engagement make them well-positioned to develop national awareness and inclusion activities and resources.
