Tender Description
The Victorian Ombudsman (Organisation) is an independent officer of the Victorian Parliament and is responsible for ensuring that the the decisions and actions of Victorian government bodies are fair and are up to highest possible standards of public sector service delivery.
The organisation is seeking invitee’s response to the invitation for the supply of IT Managed goods and/or services as outlined in the documentation. The organisation seeks to gain a more detailed understanding of the supplier market and range of solutions that may be available.Currently, most of the Organisation’s Information Technology services are delivered and managed by a Managed Service Provider (MSP), while some core applications, services and capability are managed by the Organisation’s internal IT team. The Organisation also maintains a small on-premise infrastructure environment. As the current MSP contract is nearing expiry, and in accordance with Victorian Government procurement guidelines, an approach to market is required. The purpose of this EOI is to undertake a preliminary market analysis to gauge interest in delivering, managing and supporting the organisation’s IT services.
Your submission will assist to make informed decisions regarding the future IT operating model of the organisation and the requirements of a subsequent market approach for the provision of IT services. The objective is to assess service options and suppliers’ capability to meet the Organisation’s current requirements, while providing scalable and flexible solutions and services that support future change, growth and the Organisation’s evolving business needs.
With an organisational focus on operational and customer service excellence, the Organisation seeks to strengthen its IT operating model and to deliver value for money, fit for purpose, customer focused IT operational services, as well as extending its capacity to deliver strategic outcomes using technology and data.
Suppliers are encouraged to respond, even if they do not currently provide the full remit of services outlined in the Requirements Specification, or where different Managed Services Models are available.
The core requirement for this EOI centres around proposals for delivery of IT Managed Services for the Organisation. The IT Managed Services will deliver core Infrastructure/Hosting, Network and Voice services, IT Service Management, Identity and Access Management, Endpoint Device Management, M365 environment management, Disaster Recovery and Transition In and Out services.
Additional service requirements and related pricing are requested, but not mandatory if the supplier does not have the capability or capacity to meet those requirements.

This EOI constitutes the first stage of a two-stage process to identify shortlisted respondents who may be invited to participate in a subsequent procurement phase.
