RFQ for a Provision of Supply, Installation and ongoing servicing of Instrument Suite for UTS Advanced Prototype Packaging Facility (APPF) and CB04A Cleanroom

OPPORTUNITY:

The Advanced Prototype Packaging Facility (APPF) at UTS aims to transform sovereign prototyping and packaging capabilities by creating a unique national facility offering a comprehensive suite of advanced tools for prototype packaging and small-to-medium-scale manufacturing. These capabilities aim to service a broad cross-section of Tech Central priority industries, including: Quantum computing, Robotics, Automation, Advanced communications and smart devices (e.g., Internet of Things), Aerospace/space and defence technologies, and Biotechnology/Medtech. The successful respondent/s is/are also expected to provide supporting services, in coordination with UTS, in a timely manner to ensure sufficient uptime of the equipment.

UTS is seeking competitive offers, including bundle deals consideration for any individual, any combination or whole suite of the following instruments, subject to UTS final selection:

  • High-Temperature Cleanroom Oven (Bench-Top Mounted)
  • Automated Resist Spin-Coater
  • Automated Bake Plate with Rapid Cooling Station
  • Automated Bake Plate with HDMA Treatment
  • Temperature-Programmable Reflow Oven (Bench-Top Mounted)
  • Profilometer

RFQ OBJECTIVES:

The objectives for this acquisition are:

  • Ensuring safety of UTS staff/students, enhancing efficiencies and delivering quality of service to UTS.
  • Ensure the best overall value for money outcome for UTS. This includes assessment of both compliance with mandatory requirements and performance against weighted evaluation criteria and reduction the total life cost of the system and associated deliverables;
  • To secure professional ongoing warranty, maintenance and other support services for the Systems.
  • Effective management of risks;
  • Compliance with all applicable laws, standards, codes, and policies;
  • On time delivery.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME:

Submissions must be fully received by 14:00 AEST Friday 30 January 2026.

UTS is not bound to accept the lowest priced (bundle) submission or any part of a submission and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Quote process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Late, verbal, faxed, mailed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS:

Completed responses are to be submitted via the electronic tender box before the nominated cut-off date and time. Submission upload that commences before the cut-off time, but is completed after the cut-off time will be deemed unsuccessful by the system. Ensure sufficient time for the submission upload in regard to the internet speed, the file/s size, and other respondent's system/s protocols. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion.
