Marysville Water Treatment Plant HVAC Augmentation

All Goulburn Valley Water Contractors who tender for work with a total of 100k or more will be required to have a third party certified safety system e.g. AS/NZS 4801:2001

Brief:

The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) was constructed in 2009 following the Black Saturday bushfires. The new treatment plant building was built to resist bushfires and is of concrete construction. The WTP currently has issues with ventilation and lacks airflow. The environment within the plant generates heat and moisture, paired with harsh treatment chemicals the environment is highly corrosive. This is evident by the rusting of stainless-steel fixtures throughout the plant.

 The HVAC DRAWING SET details the requirements to improve site ventilation. The contractor is to conform with the design. Any departures are to otherwise notify GVW for approval, the contractor is to demonstrate their industry expertise to conform with all Australian standards where the proposed delivery deviates from the design drawings.

Note: Goulburn Valley Water, have a long and long policy therefore, all contractors visiting GVW sites must wear long sleeves shirt and long trousers, hats, HI VIS vest or alike, foot protection.
