Supply of Tree Maintenance

The City of Melville (City) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to perform maintenance services on trees located within City owned land. Services shall include amenity pruning, underwire pruning, tree removal, chipping, stump grinding and disposal of green waste material at various sites within the City or alternatively at the nearest waste facility as advised by the City representative.

The Contract period is for an initial term of three years with two additional 12 month option periods which will be exercised at the sole discretion of the City. The Contractor shall be able to provide sufficient resources to amenity prune approximately 125 trees per month and prune up to 5,000 trees under power lines on a six monthly basis across 10 metropolitan suburbs. The number of trees requiring pruning is expected to reduce over time with the increase of underground power. These figures are indicative only and the City does not guarantee this volume of work.

This Contract does not preclude the City from conducting tree pruning utilising its own resources.
