Design of Electrical Upgrade – Biloela Civic Centre and Rainbow Street Sporting Precinct

Council is seeking to engage an electrical engineer to design the power supply for an electrical upgrade at the following sites (from one transformer):

1. Biloela Civic Centre (including backup/emergency generator)

2. Biloela Community Resource Centre

3. Several sports clubhouses

These are all existing functioning sites, and the power supply is being redesigned/upgraded from a new transformer bring installed by Ergon. Ergon has already been engaged and we are awaiting install of the new transformer.

Please note this is for the electrical engineering design and sign-off by an RPEQ electrical engineer only.

Site: Rainbow Street, Biloela

Brief of the scope:

• Supply of engineered designs

• Switchboard Datasheets

• Switchboard General Arrangements Sketches

• Single Line Diagrams

• Schematics

• Area Layout/Typical drawings

• Cable Schedule

• Cable Sizing Calculations

• An Electrical Installation Scope of Works document

• Technical and construction assistance in consultation with the installing electrician

There is currently no single line diagrams available, and site visit is welcomed.

Requirements onsite

Connection to new transformer

• Design of a new power connection to transformer (with distribution/switchboard board if necessary)

CIVIC CENTRE

• Design new supply from the new transformer connection to the current Civic Centre Switchboard, and the design will need to include a switchboard for the connection of a permanent disaster management generator with an automatic transfer switch

• Design a new HVAC switchboard, HVAC design to be provided to successful supplier (The current evaporative air conditioner systems in the Centre are being replaced with split system air conditioning) new HVAC system will serve 300-500 patrons.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTRE

• Design for the replacement of the Distribution Board.

• Please note this board must include the solar panel feed which is already installed.

FOOTBALL AND SOCCER CLUB

• Design a new supply from the new site main switchboard; and,

• Design for the replacement of the Panthers and Soccer Club switchboard. This switchboard must have 2 separate metering points.

TENNIS COURTS

• Design a new supply from the new site main switchboard.

Council expects there will be multiple review phases through the process, with feedback incorporated into the final design.
