RFT - Main Building Contractor for Block A - Roof Replacement, Classroom Refurbishment, New LSC Office at Pomare School, Taita, Lower Hutt

Several capital improvement projects to Block A at Pomare School have been bundled together and are to be delivered in a single construction contract.

The proposed classroom refurbishment work includes the replacement of original timber joinery with the installation of new aluminium doors and windows. The supply and installation of new acoustic wall finishes. Separation of the existing technology space and adjoining classroom will be actioned and will include the introduction of a new wet area with vinyl floor coverings to be provided.

One of the existing offices will be converted into an LSC office which will see new floor coverings, acoustic wall linings and a heat pump installed.

The flat roof over the staff room and adjacent offices is to be removed and replaced with a new membrane system incorporating much improved water collection and disposal.
