Turf Maintenance Services

The City of Bayswater ("the Principal") is a WA local government located approximately eight kilometres north-east of the Perth CBD. It includes the suburbs of Bayswater, Bedford, Embleton, Morley, Noranda, Maylands and parts of Mount Lawley and Dianella.

The Principal is seeking the provision of various turf maintenance services by experienced providers (Respondents) who can demonstrate extensive knowledge of safe and effective operations, specific to public open space and parkland environments.

The objective of this Request is to contract singular or multiple successful Respondents (Contractors) who can provide reactive, efficient and effective services as required, all in a manner that reduces operator and public risk. Respondents are encouraged to respond for one or more of the categories listed that suit their capability and capacity.

Note: this contracting arrangement will operate as individual, multi-year period contracts comprising of a three (3) year initial period with two (2) twelve-month extension options, totalling a maximum of five (5) years with the appointed Contractor(s), and not as a panel of pre-qualified suppliers.

Given the inherent rotating nature of the services, the Principal cannot guarantee any minimum quantity of work to any one contractor.

Additionally, where more than a single Contractor is appointed, each Contractor will be identified as either a 'Primary Provider' or 'Secondary Provider' to fulfill the services within each category. In this regard, if the Primary Provider for a category is unable to provide the service within the parameters set in their contract, the Principal reserves the right to deploy the Secondary Provider to provide the service
