RFT - Operations Centre Vehicle Wash and Major Site Drainage Upgrade

As part of its 2025/26 Capital Works Program, Banyule City Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the delivery of a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade project at the Operations Centre.

The scope of works includes:

•  Construction of a new wash bay structure, including the installation of associated equipment
•  Construction of retaining walls
•  Stormwater infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs)
•  Additional miscellaneous site improvements

The appointed contractor must demonstrate proven capability in delivering complex projects within live operational environments.

Key project requirements include:

•  Effective staging and sequencing of works
•  Capacity to undertake works outside standard operating hours
•  Robust project planning and risk mitigation strategies
•  Clear, proactive, and consistent stakeholder communication

It is critical that the operations of Visy Recycling, a current site tenant, remain uninterrupted throughout the duration of the works.

Any disruption to the Banyule Waste Transfer Station must be minimal and only where absolutely necessary.

In addition to the above, Contractors are to visit the site and make their own investigation and assessment of site conditions on Thursday 13 November at 10am.
