Tender Description
The Independent Assurance of Settlements (IAS) Program provides independent oversight of significant ATO settlements to ensure they represent fair and reasonable outcomes for the Australian community. The IAS Panel will comprise of up to six retired eminent experts with substantial experience and community standing.
Appointees will provide assurance relating to settlements involving a wide range of tax technical areas, including income tax, superannuation, international tax, GST, and tax administration. Respondents must demonstrate at least 20 years of experience, deep expertise in one or more specialist areas, and a high level of professional credibility. Appointees may also be engaged for other technical advisory roles.

Conditions for Participation:
1. Respondents must have at least 20 years of experience in taxation and superannuation technical matters, including
a) Substantial and evidenced expertise in one or more specialist tax areas; and
b) A pre-eminent reputation within the tax advisory, legal or accounting community.
2. Respondents must agree to obtain an Australian Business Number and contract as an individual should they be successful under this process.
Timeframe for Delivery:
The contract term is 3 years with one x 12-month option period. Appointees may be requested to provide the services at various times over the contract term.
