Tender Details
Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Council is upgrading the arena lighting at the Theodore Showgrounds. The existing system is no longer fit for purpose and currently only illuminating half of the arena. Please see attached mapping and documentation. There are 8 boards which direct power around the site, including to sheds, arena lighting, over 30 electrical camping sites and speaker systems.
Council is seeking to engage a contractor to:
1. Develop a lighting design to meet the standards of Equestrian Queensland Preferred Facility Standards, the AS/NZS 2560 series, and AS 4282 (Control of Obtrusive Lighting) for the whole arena.
2. Conduct a review of the proposed lighting plan and supply a report to Council. The report must include technical and performance details, report of Calibration and confirmation of standards being met.
3. Assess the current electrical draw and availability, compared to that required to power the suggested lighting infrastructure
4. Create an electrical design for the site with the new lighting design included (featuring all details of switchboards, cabling and circuit protection (noting this may include a power upgrade from Ergon)).
NMIs will be provided to assist with electrical capacity information.
A successful project will deliver:
• An arena lighting report and scope of works for installation of the lights. Designs must include pole, fitting, and light specification and recommendations. Report must include mapping of light placement, and criteria to meet standards outlined above.
• Electrical design scope of works for installation, including single line drawings with a cable schedule and layout draws.
Site visits are available for more information. Please contact Council.
