Mitchell Shire Council is seeking offers from suitably qualified contractors for the design, supply and installation of roof mounted solar PV panels, monitoring hardware and software and battery for Pyalong Recreation Reserve Hall, Northern Hwy Pyalong VIC 3521 (north of the intersection with West Road).
This project is a community energy resilience initiative designed to improve local energy security by installing a grid-connected battery system and integrated solar PV system.
The proposed battery will store surplus solar energy to increase self-consumption and further reduce energy bills. During power outages, the proposed battery will supply emergency power. The design of the battery and solar PV proposal will be required to outline how the battery will function to successfully contribute to lowering energy bills while still retaining enough stand-by energy to cover unexpected power outages at the site.
