Scope of Works

1.1 Background

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA/the Department) is the managing authority for fire prevention and suppression on DEECA-managed public land. The Department is also the managing road authority for approximately 35,000 km of roads and tracks in state forests and 14,000 km in parks and reserves, covering 7.1 million hectares of public land in Victoria. Most of this network provides essential access into the public land estate for numerous land uses including fire management and suppression, forest management, utilisation and commercial activities, and recreational pursuits.

1.2 Stated Purpose

The purpose of this RFT is to seek a lump sum quote including an hourly rate breakdown for the services of a suitable experienced contractor to supply plant, operators and labourers to perform a Maintenance Grade and Roll within the Macalister District Road network. This in turn will allow DEECA to bring the entire road network up to a greater standard.

The Department is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) T2025-0564 for the provision of minor works – Yarram – HSRN – Maintenance Grading.
