Whitecliffs Bridge Replacement - Professional Services

Selwyn District Council is seeking proposals from suitably experienced bridge engineering Professional Services to support the development of a Design and Construct (D&C) contract for the replacement of Bridge 1135 (Whitecliffs Road Bridge), which has reached the end of its service life.

The successful supplier will provide investigation and survey, specimen design, necessary consents, and preparation of tender documentation for the D&C procurement.

Bridge 1135 is a single-lane, two-way structure approximately 66 metres long on Whitecliffs Road over the Selwyn (Waikirikiri) River. The proposed replacement will provide one traffic lane and a separate pedestrian path, designed to HN-HO-72 load standards.

The successful supplier may also be involved in supporting the Council in the Design and Construct technical review, the Tender Evaluation process, and provide MSQA during the bridge construction.

Bridge construction completion is required by March 2027.
